During your checkup, we’ll use an intraoral camera to take close-up images of your teeth and gums, and then they’ll be displayed on a large chairside monitor. This will enable our team to easily spot the signs of potential problems, plus we can go over the images with you so you better understand the state of your oral health and how certain treatments might be beneficial.
All-Digital X-Rays
X-rays allow us to see below your gum line and examine the bone and roots of your teeth, ensuring that issues like cavities, infections, or even cancer are caught as soon as possible. Our digital X-rays take just seconds to capture and develop, and they produce much sharper images compared to traditional film. Even better, we can show you your X-rays right after creating them, allowing you to get a “behind the scenes” look at your smile.
iTero Digital Impressions
We use impressions to plan for a wide array of treatments, and rather than having a patient bite into a mold filled with messy dental putty, we like to take a more sophisticated approach. Instead, we simply scan the mouth with a small wand, and in about 5 minutes, we have a highly detailed digital impression. This method is not only faster than the old way, but more reliable, meaning we never have to waste time with retakes.
CBCT Scanners
One of the many ways our team provides efficient and reliable care is by using a CBCT scanner. This modern dental technology can take hundreds of pictures in mere seconds by catching multiple angles of a patient’s head. These digital images offer a detailed view of a person’s dental structure and parts of their mouth that would be challenging to see with simply a visual examination. With a CBCT scanner, our team can design a more personalized and accurate treatment plan for more effective results. This advanced equipment also doesn’t need to use any messy putty to form a 3D model of a patient’s smile.
Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry
Taking care of the gums is sensitive business, which is why we offer soft tissue laser therapy. This instrument uses a concentrated beam of light to quickly kill harmful bacteria and remove diseased tissue, all while leaving the healthy gums completely untouched. Patients barely feel anything while in the chair, and bleeding and post-treatment swelling are reduced to the point of practically not existing.
